My husband and I went here the other night for our first time, celebrating our wedding anniversary. The Tavern is small, but very cute. Our waiters name was Brayden and he was awesome. Honestly, the best waiter we've had in years, very attentive, and went above with little details we thought was nice. Removing all the silverware after our appetizer, most restaurants have you keep your fork for your entree. Not here. I had also asked for ketchup, and when he saw the bottle was placed on our table, he walked by to shake it up, and gave me a side dish to put the ketchup on instead of adding it to my plate. Again, just little details that made him stand out. He was on top of everything, friendly and answered all questions. Service was top notch. We started off with Portuguese style Calamari. And we asked for the calamari to be extra crispy. This chief knows his stuff. He had the sauce served on the side, so the calamari would be crispy. Which it was, and very tasty. It was a light batter that crumbled in your mouth. For dinner, My husband wasn't sure what to get off the menu, so many things sounded good. Brayden our waiter, suggested the Lamb Chops, an my husband loved it. The food we had was so delicious! I ordered the Portuguese style steak, incredible. The flavors are perfect, steak was cooked exactly as I requested. We'll definitely be coming back to this Tavern, and hopefully have the same waiter again.

Ate here for my Birthday! We have try a lot of RI and Conn. places over the course of the year and by far this was the most quaint, friendly, atmosphere to date! I like my martinis and They made a special hot and dirty martini. That was the best I've ever had!. The food was well crafted in every aspect- taste, smell, uniqueness and elegantly plated! Our new go-to when we have guest!! A 5 ⭐ GEM

Veal scallopini/pasta w/ragu. It was cooked well and tender veal. Everything was wonderful from appetizer of calamari Portuguese style to sea scallops.

This would not have been something I would have normally 'tried' - was convinced by my dinner companion and let me tell you it was out of this world. The lobster was cooked to perfection. I am amazed on how perfectly cooked it was and how amazing this sandwich was - PERFECTION!
